Contemporary tree calf, flat spines gilt, red morocco lettering pieces, narrow gilt border round sides, yellow edges (a few insignificant defects, mostly to head of spines). Provenance : John Pollexfen Bastard (1756-1816), notable Devon parliamentarian (armorial bookplate). Third edition. Printing and the Mind of Man 218 (describing the first edition of 1771)
