Durant (signature on title dated 1884); Henry William Poor (bookplate); Walter Thomas Wallace (bookplate); William Harris Arnold (bookplate). FIRST EDITION of this collection of nine pieces by Emerson. With a distinguished provenance: Henry William Poor (1844-1915) made a fortune in investments and amassed a large collection of fine bindings, illuminated manuscripts and first editions. The copy was later in the collection of New York collectors Walter T. Wallace and W.H. Arnold. BAL 5367.
