Portraits show men and women of various ages wearing hats or eyewear, including a sixth plate daguerreotype of a lovely young woman wearing a floral trimmed bonnet and a dress with a geometric print; a sixth plate daguerreotype of a mature lady in a white bonnet holding a pair of glasses in her hand; a sixth plate daguerreotype of an older woman wearing glasses and holding a book, posed before a landscape backdrop; a sixth plate ambrotype of woman in a frilly bonnet holding a basket; and a pair of pendant ambrotypes of a bespectacled couple. Majority of images housed in full pressed paper or geometric union cases, with some floral and figural examples (Cupid and the Stag [Berg 1-28], Blooming Rose 1 [2-92]).
