EGYPTIAN RECTANGULAR PLAQUE WITH FIGURES Late Period, 664-332 BC A rectangular serpentine bifacial plaque, vertically pierced, possibly a pendant or necklace spacer, front face; two standing figures, incuse, one walking right, the other (backing the first) faces left, walking, possibly holding a tall palm frond, band of horizontal wavy lines top and bottom; to the reverse face; a couchant lion, incuse to right, centre panel with tall central lotus flower flanked by two smaller floral motifs, horizontal wavy line beneath. 17.11 grams, 39mm (1 1/2").
