Seven works on paper, including: four hand colored engravings, all framed, engraved by Thomas Rowlandson (British, 1756-1827) designed by Henry William Bunbury (British, 1750-1811) from An Academy for Grown Horsemen by Geoffrey Gambado (London, 1809). Titled, respectively, Tricks Upon Travellers [sic]; How to Pass a Carriage; How to Make the Most of a Horse; and How to Turn Any Horse, Mare, or Gelding; inscribed with artist names l.l. and l.r., and London, Pub. by T. Tegg, May 4-1808 l.c.; each 4 x 6.5 in. (sight), 10.75 x 13 in. (frame); and three watercolors by S. M. Colquhoun (British, 19th century), including one titled u.c. Look Before You Leap, signed u.r., framed; one ink and watercolor after Robert Dighton (British, 1752-1814) titled Uniform of the Rothsay and Caithness Fencibles, signed l.r., matted; and one ink and watercolor of a gentleman with a monocle titled I'm the Thing!!!!, unsigned, matted; Look Before You Leap 7 x 10 in. (sight), 13.75 x 16.75 in. (frame). Provenance:Property from the Estate of Lewis W. Walker, Jr., Hudson, OH Condition: Toning and some staining and foxing to Horsemen prints (not examined out of frames). Fading to watercolors (not examined out of frame).
