Mowat with his signature at base of front cover, both covers blocked in blind, spine with gilt scroll design and vignette (spine faded, small nick in lower cover, stitching weak) [Sadleir 1252 (variant colour of binding)]; and a c. 50 volumes of 19th-century novels and poetry, the majority in their original publishers' bindings, many illustrated by "Phiz".
