Small 4to (200x130) mm. 24 folding printed tables, 2 engraved frontispiece portraits, 427 partly folding or double-page engraved maps and plates (some plates slightly browned, otherwise fine, 1 table with small repaired tear and browned). Contemporary brown full calf bindings, partly worn and scuffed, richly gilt spines with red and green labels, red edges, doublures marbled, vol. XXI partly damaged due to dampstains and with warped covers. Text mostly fine with some minor spotting, some with a faint dampsmell and some doblures watered, some browned pages in a few volumes, apart from vol XXI: vol. XXI defective with damages, repairs, dampstained with textlosses, minor foxing and staining, binding with warped covers. 39 vols. Complete set apart from the defective volume xxi.
