First edition, signed and inscribed by the author on the f.f.e.: "To Eleanore Havre / remembering aperitifs and a confused itinerary set forth at the Deux Magots / Ernest Hemingway." Eleanore Havre was purportedly the Parisian roomate of Hemingway's second wife, Pauline Pfeiffer. The Deux Magots was and still is a legendary hangout for artists and writers in Paris.
