First editions in French. The first volume is signed and inscribed by Dore on the front flyleaf: "Madame E. Manuel / souvenir de mon devoue / G. Dore." Dore's illustrations for Dante's Divinia Commedia are considered to be among his finest and presentation copies are rarely, if ever seen.
