Beschreibung:

Half-plate ambrotype in which the figure of the sitter (an older woman) has been isolated and enameled. The rest just shows the backing, giving the image a 3-dimensional quality. In an embossed leather case. Quarter-plate ambrotype of three young men. A slip of paper identifies them as B.S. Peabody, Sandy Novak?, Matt Conklin. In a full pressed paper case with geometric patterns. Pair of daguerreotypes in double quarter-plate case with a man and woman (likely husband and wife). Both have tinted cheeks. Scattered small spots on plates, but both still sealed. Quarter plate dag of mother and probably her sons. One is older - teenager, the other maybe 10 or so. Very light tinting of cheeks. In pressed paper case with split spine. Sixth plate dag of young woman that is a picture of a picture, with the frame of the original image visible inside the oval mat. Extensive darkening along sides of the image. In half case. Sixth-plate ambrotype of a man wearing an unusual vest and large tie (1850s). Possibly some fraternal outfit? In full paper case with spine coming apart. Sixth-plate ambrotype of a young man (15 to 20 years old), in a 3-piece suit and large bow tie. Mat stamped with 1854 patent dates and "Ambrotype by S.M. Robinson." Pad in case with "Capitol Gallery." Spine split. And a ninth-plate daguerreotype of a young girl with finger curls, holding some kind of toy? Her dress appears pink, cheeks slightly tinted. In a book-form velvet-covered case with gilt flowers in two inner corners of front cover. Hole in front.
