Early Republic period with a diverse collection of markings including Chihli Tolunting Chinpengchen agency rectangle, Hangchow "54" rectangle in violet, small Hsingningkungyi agency handstamp cancelling the adhesive, Shansi segmented circle (3), one cancelling adhesive on "Hedin" cover to Stockholm, Hangchow letter box "20" in carmine, Kirin segmented circle, Kihsien segmented circle, Tsowei tombstone on registered cover, Shouchang tombstone, Kweisi vertically segmented rectangle, double circle postal boxes of Lichow, Shangtung and Anhwei plus fancy Chinkiang "9" with shop name in red and many others. Middle Republic period with a variety of segmented circles, double-circle postal boxes and agency handstamps. This lot offers a fine opportunity to commence a specialised collection or for the student of these markings to develop their collection to a very high level. (78)
