.36 caliber, 7.5" octagonal barrel, S/N 109525 (mfg. ca 1861). Blued and color case hardened finish, silver-plated large brass triggerguard, back strap and grip strap, one-piece varnished walnut grip. Single action, 6-shot percussion revolver. Matching numbers throughout, including the wedge. Grip numbered "9525" in ink in the backstrap groove. Standard one-line New York barrel address, frame with two-line Colt's Patent mark. Condition: Very good, retains much thinned blued on the barrel, which appears to have been lightly cleaned, with traces on the cylinder and some trace case color on the frame. The blue appears to be from an old, very high quality refinishing. Clear markings throughout with most of the cylinder scene preset. Mechanically functional, good bore with scattered pitting. Safety pins in place, with a couple battered and worn. Grip good with traces of varnish and scattered bumps and dings.
