Includes four sixth-plate tintypes, one of three children in their "Sunday best." Also one ninth-plate tintype with a portrait of a woman, identified only as "Russ' only sister." And an oval gem-sized tintype on a cdv-sized card. Cdv of a nanny with an infant. An oval portrait mounted on a 3.5 x 5 in. card with "Rev. H. Bell, former Pastor of Goldsboro, NC, to Emma" on verso. Plus a studio portrait on cabinet card of African American gentleman in suit, waistcoat, and tie, watch chain and other jewelry prominent. With photographer's imprint on verso, W.M. Wheeler, Greenville, S.C. 3.5 x 5.25 in. leaflet with photo of Rev. R. Brown, Pastor. St. John's A.M./E. Church, West Bridgewater, PA. Verso with church officers. Someone penciled "1901-1904" below the image of Rev. Brown on recto. And a real photo postcard of an African American soldier, uniform suggests he served between Span-Am. and WWI (ca 1910). Condition: Expected wear to cards. Extensive pencil notes on AME leaflet. Tintypes with minor dings and bends.
