To which is added the Coronation of this present King of Persia, Solyman the Third , London: for Moses Pitt, 1686. 2° (312 x 197mm). Additional engraved title, printed title with engraved vignette, engraved portrait by D. Loggan, folding map and 16 plates, one double-page and 9 folding, 4 engarved head and tailpieces, 3 engraved initials. (Lower margins of first few leaves waterstained, occasional unimportant discolouration.) Contemporary calf gilt (spine lacks title-label and chipped at head and foot, hinges weak, extremities rubbed). First English edition of Chardin's Persian travels. Wing C2043; Atabey 218; Ghani p.70.
