Beschreibung:

Not to be confused with the much older and more famous Moto Morini (although see below), Motori Franco Morini built proprietary engines for a host of Italian and other European moped manufacturers, often supplying them with the customer's name on the side. Founded in Bologna in 1954 when Franco Morini dissolved his partnership with Vittorio Minarelli, the firm also built some ultra-lightweight motorcycles of its own in the 1960s, although it would seem that these were only sold in the home market. In 1999, Motori Franco Morini bought the defunct Moto Morini brand from Texas Pacific Investment Group, which had acquired it, together with Ducati, from Cagiva. A new company was formed - Moto Morini Spa – and in 2004 its first product was displayed to the public. Still in production today, this was the formidable Corsaro v-twin superbike, designed by engineer Franco Lambertini, who had worked for the original Moto Morini company. The manufacturer of this minibike is not known, although it does have a Franco Morini engine. The machine was purchased for the vendor's grandson and has seen little use.
