Fifth edition of a Latin-German compendium of practical knowledge, ranging from medicine to agriculture, food and wine, navigation, etc. Brack wrote it for his students at the cathedral school at Constance to enhance their broad, humanist education. Brack was a medical doctor and personal physician to the Hapsburg Kaiser Friedrich III and Archbishop of Salzburg, Leonhard von Keutschach. Among the medical subjects treated are bathing, bleeding, cupping, diseases, and medical practice. A fresh copy with strong impressions.
