Collation: s6 a 8 b-g 8 . 6 h 8 i 1 0 ( blank, r table, r preface attributed to Thomas Aquinas, a1r text with commentary surround, i8v colophon, i9-10 blank). 74 leaves. 72 lines of commentary and headline, table in 2 columns. Types: 7:83G (table, text), 9:165G (headlines); 12:64G (commentary). 3-, 4- and 10-line initial spaces, a few with printed guide-letters, most with manuscript guide-letters. While most of the sheets are printed on median paper, sheets c1.6, d4.5, e3.4, f2.7, g3.4 and h3.6 are printed on chancery paper, measuring approximately 296 x 210 mm. (Light dampstain, a few sheets lightly browned, some worming.) Binding : contemporary wooden boards backed with alum-tawed deerskin stained pale pink (color remaining only on turn-ins), blind-stamped with fleur-de-lys garland on front and large rosettes on rear board, printer's waste pastedowns, chased brass catcheplates (without clasps), title written on front board in a contemporary hand, later paper spine labels (leather worn, boards slightly wormed, front flyleaf detached). Provenance : annotated throughout in a contemporary hand, including title and note on the author on flyleaf -- Bregenz (Tyrol), Benedictine monastery: 17th-century inscription on opening page ( Ex Bibliotheca Monasterii Brigantini ) -- [Lathrop Harper 1978].
