I-IV, blank +8 in vol.V, blank TT6 in vol.V, woodcut initials, final privilege leaf in vol.II, final imprint leaf in vol.V. (Lacks final blank in vols.II & III, some worming in vols.I, IV & V, mostly minor.) Contemporary blindstamped vellum, upper cover of vol.I, IV & V with central heraldic block with initials 'HPLP' dated 1574, and added date below 1575 (wormed and repaired, all volumes rebacked with late 19th-century vellum in compartments. Provenance : Jesuit College at Neuberg (inscription on engraved title of vol.I dated 1639); Carmelite Convent in Munich (booklabels in some vols.); various other inscriptions and labels in different volumes. The second of the great Polyglots known as the Antwerp, Plantin's or Royal Polyglot, produced under the patronage of Philip II of Spain, with B. Arias Montanus as the general editor.
