BEAULIEU VINEYARDS - GEORGES DE LATOUR PRIVATE RESERVE Named after the Frenchman who founded the estate in 1900, few wines have as long a history as the Georges de Latour Private Reserve, first vintage, 1936. However it was Russian born and French trained winemaker Andre Tchelistcheff who really began to make waves with the wine. From the 1940's until he left in 1973, the Georges de Latour rose to prominance as one the regions great wines. Today with all that is going on in the fast paced world of todays Napa Valley, the Georges de Latour Private Reserve continues to remain one the classics.
