Attributed to Anthony Redmile (20th century- English) Print A large ''grotto'' bust of Neptune, third quarter 20th century, apparently unsigned, constructed in two pieces, the molded ebonized fiberglass bust with polished stone-encrusted hair and white-painted eyes over a torso all-over encrusted with seashells, crystals and stones, surmounting the waisted socle over a squared base, raised overall on a similarly-encrusted wooden plinth, overall: 83.5'' H x 30.5'' W x 21'' D, Provenance: La Maison Francaise Antiques, Inc., Los Angeles, CA, purchased 1980; The Estate of Dr. Paul E. Keith III, Las Vegas, NV; acquired from the above. Condition: The bust: 39'' H. Overall good condition, with general marks, scratches, chips, repairs and scattered losses commensurate with age. A .5'' x .5'' chip to corner of fiberglass base.
