Arturo Martini (1889-1947) Pair of garden sculptures in green enamelled grès in the shape of lying lion and lioness on rectangular basement. cm 136x52x45 e cm 128x52x44 Loss of glaze, two corners of lion's basement missing. These two sculptures are the result of the collaboration of Martini with the industrial Jean Charles Mathon, owner of a company of refractory materials and made in a little serie. A couple presented by him was placed at the entrance of the Bocconi University in Milan, designed by Pagano and Predaval between 1938 and 1941. Queste due sculture sono frutto della collaborazione di Martini con l'industriale Jean Charles Mathon, industriale specializzato nella lavorazione di materiali refrattari e furono realizzate in un numero ristretto di esemplari.
