"I return you many thanks for your friendly congratulations on my return to this country [Great Britain] and though my views were not realized, I think myself fortunate to have escaped with life and without loss of property. Mrs. Arnold unites with me in best respects to you and Mrs. Chipman. We are all well as usual and happy to hear that our friends at St. John enjoy their health."
