Aldus’s dedicatory preface to his patron, Alberto Pio da Carpi, sets out his plan to print the entire corpus of classical Greek learning, from works of grammar to poetry, philosophy and history. The five parts of the Aldine Aristotle were available separately, as a unique advertisement preserved in the Bibliothèque nationale (Einblattdrucke 897) makes clear.
