Livorno, [1899]. Personal inscription: “Given to me by Rabbi S. Abuchatzira, Shalom Mashash”. [Apparently, received it from Rabbi Shimon Abuchatzira who served as Dayan in his Beit Din in Casablanca]. The Ga’on Rabbi Shalom Mashash (1909-2003), among leading Dayanim and Halachic authorities of his generation. From 1955 served as chief rabbi and Av Beit Din of Casablanca, Morocco; in 1976 immigrated to the holy city of Jerusalem in order to serve as chief rabbi and chief Av Beit Din of the city. Composed many books in Halacha and Aggadah: Mizrach Shemesh, Beit Shemesh, VeCham HaShemesh, Tevu’ot Shemesh Responsa, Shemesh U’Magen Responsa and more. Hundreds of leaves.
