AN INSCRIBED PALE CELADON JADE EWER MING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY 0he exterior of the ewer is carved with lines of inscriptions, with a two-character seal mark to one side reading ' zhi bao ', which may be translated as 'most precious'. There is a coiled chilong beside the spout, and the top of the handle is decorated with a stylised dragon. The stone is of a pale celadon tone with minor paler inclusions. 10 1/8 in.
