An Empire Style Gilt Metal Centerpiece late 19th century the glass bowl of circular form engraved to show fans and with a star cut base, set on winged sphinx monoped supports ending in a tripartite base. Height 7 1/2 x diameter 7 1/2 inches. Estimate $ 500-700 In good, stable, complete usable condition. Glass bowl intact without cracks or repairs, some very minor chips to the upper edge. Base likewise intact, with even, bright patina. Ring that holds the glass is slightly out of round. Additional images available upon request.
