An attractive French Empire ormolu and enamel striking portico mantel regulator with calendar, Hubert à Paris circa 1815 15.5-cm enamel chapter ring with Roman numerals signed on the reverse 2151 I Béchot for the enameler, inner date marking and outer half-seconds callibration, pierced gilt hands, steel date pointer and sweep seconds, polychrome enamel moonphase with moon date above, countwheel bell striking movement with pinwheel escapement mounted on the backplate, knife-edge suspended gridiron sunburst pendulum with beat adjustment to the crutch, the whole supported by four engraved ormolu arched supports with an enamel signature plaque signed Hubert à Paris, rectangular base with applied lyre and butterfly mounts incorporating an arched classical relief, raised on engraved bun feet, under a glass dome on a gilt wood plinth 49cm. high.
