The first with a nashiji saya decorated with a wind-blown bamboo forest and swirling clouds in gold hiramaki-e, the silver hardware engraved with scrolling vines, fitted with an iron ring kurikata decorated with archaic Chinese emblems in gold nunome-zōgan, the gold menuki carved as dragons; the second with a kinji lacquer saya decorated with a shishi (Chinese mythical lion) and a large spray of peonies in gold and silver takamaki-e, the shakudō nanako-ji kozuka with a tiger and dragon in gold takazōgan, the tsuka wrapped in same and mounted with gold menuki formed as shishi and a gilt-nanako-ji fuchi decorated with a shihshi in shakudō, signed Ichiryūsai Mitsutoki and a gold-lacquer kashira; both koshira-e with tsunagi (wood replica blades) only (2)
