An 18ct gold signet ring belonging to Carl Lange, carpenter aboard the Liverpool Barque 'Dryad', together with a copy of Alexander, HG L 'The life and death of the Liverpool Barque Dryad (1874-91), the ring with entwined 'CL' initials, hall marked Birmingham 1890,( illustrated on page 99 of the book), together with a brass gimbaled cabin light from the wreck of the Dryad.( illustrated on page 118) *Note - The Dryad was wrecked during the infamous blizzard of 1891 off Start Point, South Devon over the 9th and 10th March. The wreck site was discovered in 1974 by Henry Alexander who spent many years excavating the wreck and documenting the details in his book.
