Air Mail cover 1929 (31 Mar.) envelope "Per favor of Flight Lieut C.P.T. Ulm" from Richmond N.S.W. in an attempt to fly to England and around the world; following a forced landing Ulm and three others lived on shell-fish until their rescue on 17 April. After a Court of Enquiry the crew flew from Richmond on 25 June via Allahabad to London -- a record flight of 12 days 18 hours; the envelope with damaged corner though believed to be the only cover known carried on both flights, and signed by Ulm at lower left corner; also menu card from subsequent London dinner.
