The following year he joined the Leopard in Chatham and sailed on a reprisal mission to Salli in Morocco on the Barbary Coast. There they liberated 339 Christian captives, whose names are listed at the end of the work. Provenance: Marquess of Lothian (pencil note); Frederick Spiegelberg (morocco book label).
