Late 19th century gelatin silver print, 5 x 3.5 in. oval, mounted to 9.125 x 6.375 in., housed in a 14.5 x 12.5 in. oval frame. Mount's verso inked Lincoln Photograph by Brady, Washington D.C. 1864. The negative was indeed made in Brady's Washington studio, February 9, 1864, but the photographer that day was Anthony Berger. This pose was used as the portrait on the five dollar bill for most of the 20th century, but was replaced with another pose from the same sitting in 2008. Condition: Very good. Water stain in lower left corner of mount not affecting the print.
