Adams in Clouds at Right) and numbered LF-91 on the reverse; numbered HRM L75.90.44 on an old label affixed to the backing Oil on board, oval 10 x 18 inches Provenance: The artist By descent to his daughter, Helen Shattuck Stewart Mrs. Eugene Emigh, New Britain, CT Private collection, NH Thence by descent in the family to the current owner A certificate of provenance from Katharine Stewart Emigh is affixed to the reverse. Scattered inpaint in the sky, most notably in two areas, approximately 3/4 x 2 inches and 1 1/2 inches. A repaired split in the paint film at the extreme upper left with associated inpaint. Yellowed varnish.
