A ZIEGLER MAHAL CARPET approximately 368 x 277cm Condition Report: Wear overall. Patches of additional wear reveal underlying weft (see images). Some pale knot heads and broken strands of weft poke through pile in places. Some lines of additional wear to the pile from where the carpet has been previously folded. The binding to one end of the carpet with wear, loose threads, and some losses. The fringing to the other end is trimmed short and has fraying, wear and some losses. Binding to the longest edges is generally tidy with just the expected wear and minor fraying. Small patch of dirt/discolouration to one side of central field - see image.
