A well detailed 1:24 scale fully rigged model of the Danish topsail trading schooner Birgitte Gronbech (1807) built by K. Britten with masts, yards with stun's'l booms and foot ropes, standing and running rigging with left and right hand wound rope and scale blocks, full suit of stitched linen sails with rope bindings and reefing points, anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads, windlass, belaying rails and pins, bitts, companionways, hatches with removable covers, horses, bilge pumps, water barrels, clinker built framed and planked ship's boat in chocks with bottom boards thwarts and oars and another in stern davits, deck house with opening doors revealing a detailed cooking stove, aft companionway with opening doors and sliding top cover revealing stairs down, compass and binnacle, deck light, deck rails, stern lantern, chicken coops and tiller and other details. The hull, with painted and decorated transom is carved from the solid and planked above the main whale and is finished in white, black, blue and red -- 44 x 61in. (112 x 156.3cm.).
