FIRST EDITION OF THE TRANSLATION by English journalist and publisher Richard Phillips and part of his second "Collection of Voyages", published between 1819 and 1823. It was published the same year as the French edition which also includes the travels in Europe by de Montulé, knight of the French order of the Legion of honour. He reports on his travel with a steamboat from New Orleans along the Mississippi to Louisville and the West Indies.
