A VERY UNUSUAL 20-BORE ALL-STEEL PERCUSSION SPORTING GUN PROBABLY DUTCH OR NORTH GERMAN, EARLY 19TH CENTURY With slightly tapering sighted barrel fitted with a keg-shaped percussion drum on the right side of the breech, frame fitted with an exposed main-spring on the left side and a large hammer in the form of a hound on the right, skeletal butt filled with scrolls, a large hunting horn and a dog's head, large trigger-guard pierced with a flower-head, sling-mounts, and iron ramrod (some discolouration and light surface corrosion marking throughout, patch of surface corrosion towards the muzzle on the left side of the barrel) 29¾in. (75.5cm.) barrel
