A TORTOISESHELL SNUFF-BOX AND A GEORGE III SILVER-GILT SNUFF-BOX THE FORMER PROBABLY ENGLISH, 18TH CENTURY, THE LATTER, MARKED LONDON, 1800, THOMAS PHIPPS AND EDWARD ROBINSON II Rectangular box, the diamond-pattern cover centred with rectangular polished gold plaque engraved with initial S surmounted by an earl's coronet, concave base, gold thumbpiece and hinge; together with , a rectangular silver-gilt box, horizontally reeded cover, base and sides, the interior cover engraved with initials AB surmounted by an earl's coronet, slighly raised incoporated thumbpiece 2¾ in.
