A three stone sapphire and diamond brooch, the oval cabochon sapphire between two old brilliant-cut diamonds, all rubover set within domed mount, to an openwork bar brooch, mounted in yellow precious metal, (brooch adapted from a ring), total diamond weight approximately 1 carat, bar brooch length 53.5mm. £800-1200 Condition Report The sapphire is darkish mid blue, a few small inclusions and slight zoning, only visible with magnification, dimensions 7 x 6.5mm. The diamonds have an estimated clarity of VSI2-SI2, and an estimated colour of I-J (assessed whilst mounted), there is slight nibbling to crown facet edges. The centre of the mount is adapted from a ring, with the bar brooch mount later added; it shows general light surface wear. Gross weight 5gm.
