A Swedish Broadsword First half of the 17th Century With tapering blade with a central fuller on each face of the forte containing an inscription (illegible), iron hilt with long spatulate vertically recurved quillons, double side-rings, the inner one with a thumb-ring, the other filled by a plate pierced and chiselled with foliage, and heart-shaped pommel, the outer side decorated throughout with punched foliage, the spirally-fluted wooden grip bound with wire (rust-pitted throughout) 35¾in.
