A comparable cabinet is in the collection of the Soumaya Museum at the Plaza Carso in Mexico city. Another comparable cabinet is in the collection of the Dallas Museum of Art, gift of The Eugene McDermott Foundation, in honor of Carol and Richard Brettell, acc. no. 1993.36. A third comparable Meuble Enconchado from Don Melchior Portocarrero was offered as a wedding gift to the granddaughter of one of the Viceroys of Peru, sold at Sotheby's, New York . 21 May, lot 79 (ill. H. Hayward World Furniture , London, 1965, p.106, fig. 371). A fourth comparable example sold at Christie's New York, 19 May 2008, lot 385.
