Brown boasted over 70 sorties and over 142 combat hours as Pilot, he was involved in the Allied Landings giving covering smoke. D.F.C. Recorded in the Gazette, 27th Feburary 1945, Kings commendation in the New Years Honours List 1951, A.F.C. Recorded in the Gazette, 7th June 1951.
