A SECOND WORLD WAR R.A.F. D.F.C. A.F.C. MEDAL GROUP, awarded to Pilot Officer Anthony George Brown Bomber Command (Wing Commander), No. 2 Group 88 Squadron. Comprising Distinguished Flying Cross, engraved 1945, Air Force Cross, engraved 1951, 1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star with France and Germany clasp, Defence, Service and Elizabeth II Coronation medals, with miniatures and copies of operations book, promotions and announcements in various publications. Brown boasted over 70 sorties and over 142 combat hours as Pilot, he was involved in the Allied Landings giving covering smoke. D.F.C. Recorded in the Gazette, 27th Feburary 1945, Kings commendation in the New Years Honours List 1951, A.F.C. Recorded in the Gazette, 7th June 1951. He was promoted from Squadron Leader to Wing Commander, London Gazette, 28th December 1962. Also included are a Great War trio of medals awarded to Wing Commander A.G. Brown's father, Captain H.
