A SCOTTISH REGENCY MAHOGANY BRACKET CLOCK BY REID & AULD, EDINBURGH, CIRCA 1810 With bran bezel and convex glass to white enamel Roman dial signed 'REID & CO./EDINBURGH', replaced blue steel hands, the eight day movement wih shallow-arched plates joined by five pillars, twin gut frisees and replaced dead beat escapement, hour strike on bell, the backplate engraved with leafy sprigs; pendulum, winding key, case key, the waisted sides surmounted by a brass sphere finial, above a moulded rectangular base, on brass ball feet, the pendulum engraved 'Reid & Auld Princes Street Edin.r' 20 in. (51 cm.) high; 11 in. (28 cm.) wide; 7 in. (18 cm.) deep
