A RUSSIAN SILVER AND NIELLO TROMPE L'OEIL CIGARETTE CASE MARK OF AE, MOSCOW, 1890 Simulating basket-weave surfaces with niello tobacco trade label, gilt interior; also a Russian silver reeded oblong cigarette case with rounded corners and niello reserve, mark of VVO (Cyrillic), Moscow, 1893, gilt interior; a trompe l'oeil bangle by Ivan Saltykov, Moscow, 1888, with basket-weave diaperwork and reserves on either side, one initialled OL ; and an unmarked Caucasian dagger, kindjal , with profusely floral-decorated silver sheath with leather insert to back Dagger 12¾ in. long (32.5 cm.)
