IN THE MANNER OF JOHN MCLEAN AND SONS
A REGENCY BRASS-INLAID AND ORMOLU MOUNTED ROSEWOOD CHIFFONIER In the manner of John McLean and Sons The rectangular top with a two-tiered mirror-backed superstructure with three-quarter galleried and trellis-filled sides, the lower section with a pair of mahogany lined contre partie brass-inlaid frieze drawers, centred by a mask and flanked by caryatids, above a pair of panelled cupboard doors enclosing a central shelf, flanked by tapering brass-inlaid pilasters, on Doric scrolled bun feet concealing castors, the mounts flanking the drawers probably later, concealed behind the central mask compartment, two letters addressed to J. F. Bury Esq. Nazeing, Waltham, dated 1843 54 in. (137 cm.) high; 38 in. (96.5 cm.) wide; 15 in. (38 cm.) deep
