A RARE CIZHOU PAINTED AND INCISED TRUNCATED MEIPING NORTHERN SONG/JIN DYNASTY, 12TH-13TH CENTURY The well-potted, high-shouldered body fluidly painted in brown with three stylised floral sprays, with combined and incised details, all on a white slip under a transparent glaze which continues over the outwardly curved rim into the interior of the neck and falls to the edge of the flat foot ring, the base with a short unglazed foot ring surrounding a flat, white slip base 9 in. (22.9 cm.) high
