Beschreibung:

A rare and well-engineered 7 ¼ inch gauge model of a L&NWR 4-4-0 tender locomotive No 2663 'George the Fifth', built from Bassett Lowke castings around 1912 and rebuilt by Mr R Fenwick in the1980’s to early 1990’s with copper boiler Serial number 87189 built by Swindon Boilers. The silver soldered copper boiler with fittings including pressure gauge, water sight gauge with shut off cocks, regulator, direction control, blower, two injectors, safety valve, steam brake and blow down valve. The chassis having twin inside cylinders 1 ¾” bore by 3” stroke with Greenly-Joy valve gear, two injectors, foot plate controlled cylinder drain cocks, fluted motion and fitted mechanical lubricating system. The model finished in black and red lined livery with cab-side number plate, ‘George the Fifth' name plate and six wheel tender with driving seat, foot rests, hand feed pump and water cocks, fitted hand-rails, steps and vacuum hose. Total length of locomotive and tender 214cm. Cab width 32cm. Height of locomotive at cab 50cm. Boiler history: Swindon Boiler Serial No 87189. Certificate dated the 8th of March 1987 Hydrostatic test pressure 200 psi. Working pressure 100 psi. Passed boiler history from the February 1995 to 2012 available for inspection at the auction rooms on view days. The locomotive has not been run since 2009. No current boiler history available.
