A QAJAR KULAH-KHUD LATE 19TH CENTURY With domed skull embossed with a human mask with gold-damascened details and a sunburst behind, with applied peacock crest joined from the inside and with gold-damascened head, the surface of the skull and neck of the peacock chiselled with flowering foliage inhabited by mounted hunters and tigers, and heightened with gold-damascened borders and small foliate panels, the brim of the skull chiselled with a series of calligraphic panels heightened with silver damascening, applied plume-holders to the front of the skull, gold- and silver-damascened nasal-bar with later gilt retaining-bracket, and long vandyked camail of iron and brass butted rings Approx. 11¾in.
