A PAIR OF COPELAND 'JEWELED' APPLE-GREEN GROUND VASES AND COVERS CIRCA 1904, GREEN UPPERCASE AND GILT SCRIPT MARKS, GILDER'S N MARKS, THRICE SIGNED S.(AMUEL) ALCOCK Each of baluster form, the finial formed as a gilt putto holding a tambourine aloft, painted with either a family resting or a family collecting faggots within gilt oval surrounds tooled with anthemion and egg-and-dart, the reverse with two figures either on horseback or next to a boat at the shore's edge, flanked by upright scroll handles with maiden-mask terminals, the cover, neck and socle enriched with elaborate gilt patterns and white 'jewels' 18½ in. (47 cm.) high (4)
