A pair of Austrian sapphire and diamond cluster earrings c.1890, the earrings with a slightly cushion shaped mixed cut sapphire, claw set in gold and surrounded by a border of old European cut diamonds. All set in silver collets with gold under bezels to gold continental fittings. Tested as silver and approximately 14ct gold, with Austrian assay marks for Vienna. Numbered 14099, makers mark E.K. 23.00 x 17.10mm, 7.86g, together with a matched French synthetic sapphire and diamond brooch, c.1900, with a cushion shaped synthetic sapphire, claw set to the centre, with a border of old European cut diamonds. All set in gold and platinum. Tested as approximately 18ct gold and platinum, with French poinçon and an Austrian import mark, 1891 to 1901. 23.10 x 10.21mm, 7.77g (3)
